ST. JOSEPH, Minn. - After enjoying a midweek match at home, the College of Saint Benedict soccer team will hit the road to Moorhead, Minn. for a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) battle with Concordia College Saturday, Oct. 17. Action is slated to begin at 1 p.m. at the Soccer Field in Jake Christiansen Athletic Complex.

The Bennies (10-1-1, 5-1-1 MIAC) secured their 10th win of the season, the first-double digit win season since 2022, with a 3-nil shutout of Hamline University to celebrate Senior Day Wednesday, Oct. 14. Saint Benedict saw three different Bennies score, as sophomores Tatum Janezich (Rogers, Minn./Providence Academy), Elly Prairie (Blaine, Minn./Spring Lake Park) and Paige Escamilla (Burnsville, Minn./Eastview) all found the back of the net. Escamilla's goal was the first of her young career. Juniors Sienna Chase (Tustin, Calif./Orange Lutheran) and Gabby Fernholz (Rice, Minn./Sauk Rapids-Rice) each added an assist. Senior Rhianna Anya (Bloomington, Minn./Thomas Jefferson Sr.) and sophomore Anna Mollenhauer (Owatonna, Minn./Owatonna) combined for the third straight shutout for the Bennies. Logging the first 45 minutes in goal, Anya made two saves before Mollenhauer checked in after halftime, also notching a pair of stops.

First-year Eva Gower (Plymouth, Minn./Orono) leads the team with 18 points, closely followed by 17 from Prairie. First-year Lilly DeRosier (Baxter, Minn./Brainerd) sits third with 11 points. Gower and Prairie are tied atop the team with seven goals apiece, while DeRosier's five are good for third. With four assists, Gower and sophomore Allison Cammerrer (Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) leads the team with four assists each. Prairie and Chase are tied for third with three helpers apiece. Together, they lead a Saint Ben's offense that ranks 19th nationally in total assists (33) and 21st in assists per game (2.75).

In goal, Mollenhauer tops the team with 22 saves across 270 minutes. The sophomore brings in a .917 save percentage along with a .67 goals against average. Anya has logged a team-leading 540 minutes between the posts, owning a .864 save percentage and .50 GAA behind 19 saves. She has tallied a pair of shutouts on the season, while combining with the CSB goalkeeper staff for two more.

CSB and Concordia (5-6-1, 4-3 MIAC) will meet for the 50th time dating back to 1984. The Bennies boast a 33-16 advantage in the series, including a 1-nil win in the most recent matchup Oct. 25, 2025.
