ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict tennis team has once again been recognized for its academic excellence, earning the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award. In addition, nine student-athletes received ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, the ITA announced today (July 23).
This marks the third consecutive year that nine or more Bennies have earned Scholar-Athlete recognition. In 2025, the nine honorees were part of a group of 1,269 NCAA Division III student-athletes recognized nationwide.
Saint Ben's is one of 165 women's tennis programs to receive ITA All-Academic Team honors this year. The team has now earned this distinction 16 times, including in 2025, 2024, 2023, and in a stretch from 2003 through 2015.
To qualify as an ITA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher and appear on the institutional eligibility list. Teams must maintain a combined GPA of 3.2 or better to be named an ITA All-Academic Team.

Sophia Jonas (Hudson, Wis.),
Marie Labenski (Northfield, Minn.),
Ella Marohl (St. Cloud, Minn.),
Kate Perbix (Elk River, Minn.),
Ava Stritesky (Otsego, Minn.), and
Allyson Yahn (Pequot Lakes, Minn.).
Notably, Jonas earned her third consecutive ITA Scholar-Athlete award, while Labenski, Marohl, and Perbix received the honor for the second straight year.

Jack Bowe, the Bennies concluded the 2024-25 season with a 7-11 overall record, including a 2-8 mark in MIAC play.
