MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – With a pair of top-six finishes in relays, including a school record in the 200-yard medley relay, the College of Saint Benedict swim and dive team sits in fifth place with 56 points at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships, which opened on Wednesday (Feb. 14) at the Jean Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota.
Saint Benedict is tied for fifth with St. Olaf with 56 points. Macalester leads the women's team race with 74 points and Gustavus is in second with 72 followed by St. Catherine at 62 and Carleton, 60. The MIAC competition continues with prelims on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m., with finals set for 6:30 p.m.

In the 200-yard medley relay, CSB had a school record 1:47.08 and finished fourth in the 200-yard medley relay. CSB had a squad of senior

Emi Wagner. With the fourth-place finish, CSB earned honorable mention All-MIAC as the team broke the 2022 program 200-yard medley relay mark of 1:47.77 (
Mads Slavik, Ana Birklid, Jes Milstroh,
Emi Wagner).
In addition, CSB finished sixth in the 800-yard free relay with a season-best clocking of 8:05.13. The relay squad included first-year

Morgan Stout.
