LAKE ELMO, Minn. – With four student-athletes in the top-30, including senior Emily Renner in a tie for ninth, the College of Saint Benedict golf team sits sixth overall at 669 (32341) after 36 holes (two rounds) of the MIAC Championships at the Royal Golf Course. 

The final round of the 54-hole conference championship will begin at 8:30 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 9. With a split tees format on Monday, CSB is scheduled to tee off from 8:30 to 9:10 a.m.

Leading the team standings after 36 holes is St. Catherine at 43-over par, 619 (307-312). The Wildcats, who were 24-over par, 312 as a team today (Oct. 8), have the top individual with Grace Petzold holding a one-shot lead through 36 holes of eight-over par, 152 (75-77). She leads Paige Hillman of Saint Catherine at nine-over par, 153 (76-77) and Carter Sichol of Carleton at nine-over par, 153 (75-78).

Following Saint Catherine in second place in the team standings is Carleton at 67-over par, 643 (330-313) with Bethel in third at 71-over par, 647 (320-327).  In a tie for fourth place among the 10 teams in the tourney is Macalester at 85-over par, 661 (326-333) and Gustavus Adolphus at 85-over par, 661 (333-328) while CSB is sixth at 669 (328-341).

The individual leader for CSB is Renner, a three-time All-MIAC honoree, who is tied for ninth with a 10-over par, 160 (78-82). Renner, who opened the tournament with a 78 (40-38) with three birdies and six pars, had an 82 today (Sunday, Oct. 8) with a 40 on the front nine as she had four pars and a birdie on the 371-yard, par 4, eighth hole. On the back nine, she had two pars and a birdie on the par 4, 364-yard, 11^th hole. She now has 12 pars and five birdies through the 36 holes.

Sophomore Maggie Roth, who carded a career-best round of five-over par, 77 on day one, finished the second round at 21-over par, 165 (77-88) and is tied for 18th overall. Today, Roth had seven pars and a birdie on the 482-yard, par 5, 17^th hole as she had a 12-over par, 48, on the front nine. She closed strong with a four-over par 40 on the back nine with five of those seven pars. Through two rounds, she has 18 pars and a pair of birdies.  

Sophomore Catherine Jance is tied for 26^th with a 26-over par, 170 (84-86). After carding a 12-over par, 84, on day one, Jance had a 14-over par total of 86 (46-40). Today, she had seven pars and a birdie on the 324-yard, par 4, fifth hole. In total, she has three birdies to go with 14 pars through two rounds. 

Sophomore Jamie Bimberg is tied for 30th after carding a 36-hole total of 30-over par, 174 (89-85). After opening with a 17-over par 89, Bimberg improved by four shots with a 13-over par, 85 (40-45) and moved up four spots in the individual standings. She had a birdie on hole four, a 148-yard, par three hole, to go with six pars. Through 36 holes, she has 10 pars and a birdie.

Junior Georgia Hinton sits tied for 42nd with a 45-over par, 189 (95-94). In the second round, she finished with a 94 (50-44).  Through the two rounds, she has nine pars and a birdie. On the front nine today, she had a par and a birdie on the 125-yard, par 3, seventh hole, as she finished with a 14-over par 50.  On the back-nine, she closed eight-over par, 44, with three pars.
