NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Lindsay Smutka had two titles and a second-place finish to lead the College of Saint Benedict Swimming and Diving Team in a dual against Carleton College on Saturday. The Bennies finished with four titles, and 18 top-three finishes at the meet won by Carleton, 185-115.

Smutka continued to pick up victories in the pool as the junior won the 100 backstroke in 1:00.50, and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.93 while placing second in the 200 backstroke.

CSB, which will compete against Gustavus Adolphus on Senior Day at the Warner Palaestra Pool in Collegeville, Minn., on Jan. 28, also had a first-place finish from junior Emi Wagner with 25.55 clocking in the 50 free while senior Molly Johanson won the 400 IM in 4:53.87.

In 1-meter diving, CSB had three of the top four finishes, including Mikayla Haskamp finished second at 195.80 while Sabrina Buffetta was third in 180.25 and Claire Hippen, fourth, 171.60. On the 3-meter board, Buffetta was second with a season-best 193.60 with Hippen, third with a season-high 180.05 with Haskamp, fourth, 166.35.
