ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict hockey team wraps up the 2019 portion of its schedule this weekend when it plays St. Kate's Saturday and Sunday in a MIAC series. The two teams play at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul and 2 p.m. Sunday in St. Cloud.
After Sunday, the team is off until it heads to Mequon, Wis., to take on Concordia-Wisconsin Jan. 3-4 in a pair of nonconference games. The team hosts Finlandia in two nonconference games Jan. 10-11.
ABOUT THE WILDCATS
After three high-scoring wins to start the season, St. Kate's lost three straight before picking up its first MIAC win of the season, 4-1 against Saint Mary's on Nov. 23. Heading into the weekend, eight different players have at least two goals for the Wildcats, including Emilee Anderson, who leads the MIAC with six goals. Lindsey Hays leads the league with six assists.
LAST MEETING
The two teams split last season, with CSB winning 2-1 on Friday night in St. Paul and the Wildcats winning 6-2 the next day in St. Cloud in late January 2019.
Courtney Conlin and
Mollie Wise both scored in the win, and
Maggie Gilchrist had 30 saves.

THE STORYLINE
After a pair of close games against Concordia, CSB's offense came alive for five goals against St. Olaf in a nonconference game on Nov. 26. The team looks to use that momentum to pick up a few more wins to wrap up MIAC play for 2019 and head into the break with some steam as the main portion of the team's schedule looms in 2020.
