ST. PETER, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict tennis team dropped a MIAC match 9-0 to No. 36 Gustavus Sunday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn.

With one match left in the 2016-17 season, Saint Benedict is now 9-13 overall and 2-7 in the MIAC.

"After we settled in (Sunday), we played some good tennis," CSB head coach Michael Engdahl said. "We have to work on playing at a high level for the length of the match, and not just at certain times in the match. WE do have a young group, so that will come with time if we keep focusing on the right things."

Tessa Rahrick and Ellen Stensrud teamed up at No. 1 doubles and Erin Kolbow and Kylie Miller played at No. 2 doubles, and both duos fell 8-0. Gabbie Noack and Lauren Clark lost 8-3 at No. 3 doubles.

Rahrick pushed her singles match to an extra set, but lost 7-6, 6-3 at the No. 1 spot. Kolbow fell 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, and Stenrud lost 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3. Clark fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles, Noack fell 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 and Miller lost 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
