MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team picked up its first MIAC loss of the season Wednesday night when it fell 3-0 to No. 25 Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn.
The Auggies – who are now 8-1 overall and 3-0 in the MIAC – scored two goals in the first four minutes of the game, and CSB was never able to recover. Augsburg scored just over two minutes in to the game, then added a second goal right before the four-minute mark to go ahead by two goals early.
Augsburg added a third and final goal in the 37
th minute to seal the win.

Sydney Bramer and
Reina Nelson all had a shot in the final minutes of the game, but McGinty and Nelson's were blocked and Bramer's went wide.
Augsburg outshot CSB 20-13, including a 9-3 margin in shots on net.
Taylor Hedin had two shots on net to lead CSB and
Ali Ryan-Mosley added one.
Heather Kaluzniak finished with six saves for CSB.
Saint Benedict is back in action and returns home Saturday, Oct. 1, when it hosts St. Kate's at 1 p.m.
