High School: Nelson earned four varsity letters in soccer at Washburn High School where she earned all-conference honorable mention honors in each of her four seasons. Nelson also lettered twice in both gymnastics and badminton.

Personal: Nelson is the daughter of Tammy and Steve Nelson, who live in Minneapolis, Minn. She has one brother, Elliott. She enjoys soccer, cooking, crafting and anything outdoors and is majoring in psychology.
