ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict tennis team wrapped up its 2015-16 season with an 8-1 loss to St. Kate's Friday afternoon in St. Joseph.
The Blazers end the year 6-11 overall and in eighth in the MIAC with a 3-7 mark.

Victoria Beach and sophomore
Cassy Finn picked up CSB's lone win at No. 2 singles Friday afternoon. The duo defeated their Wildcat opponents 8-3. At No. 1 singles,
Laura Finn and
Rachel Raden lost 8-1 and
Megan Hintz and
Ellen Stensrud lost 8-3 at No. 3 singles.
Laura Finn won her first set at No. 1 singles, but ended up losing 1-6, 6-3, 12-10 in a super breaker. She had one match point in the super breaker, but her opponent was able to fight it off and hold on for the win. Beach fell 6-1, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, and Raden lost 6-2, 1-6, 10-6 in a super breaker. At No. 4 singles
Taylor Kraemer lost 6-2, 6-4, Hintz fell 6-0, 6-4 at No. 5 and
Cassy Finn lost 6-1, 6-4 at No. 6 singles.
CSB loses Beach and Raden to graduation in May, but returns seven of nine athletes from its 2015-16 roster.
