ResultsSARTELL, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict tennis team picked up its second sweep in as many days Sunday morning when it beat Concordia 9-0 in its first home match of the year at Fitness Evolution in Sartell, Minn.
CSB, which is now 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the MIAC, started the day with three wins in doubles play.
Laura Finn and
Rachel Raden teamed up to win 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, and
Victoria Beach and
Cassy Finn won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Ellen Stensrud and
Emily Erickson wrapped up doubles play with an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles.
Laura Finn started singles play with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles. Beach won her fourth straight singles match, defeating her Cobber opponent 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Raden won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3, and
Taylor Kraemer picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles.
Megan Hintz swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 singles, and
Cassy Finn wrapped up the day with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.
The Blazers are off now until Feb. 26 when they take on St. Olaf in Owatonna, Minn. CSB doesn't play at home again until it hosts Hamline on March 10.
