ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – As the College of Saint Benedict's 2016 soccer season heads into the final game of the regular season, CSB is back on the road against St. Olaf. The MIAC matchup will be Saturday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. in Northfield.
 
About the Oles
The Oles are 7-7 overall and 4-6 in the MIAC this season. St. Olaf enters Saturday's game coming off of a 1-0 loss at Augsburg. Abby Stets leads the team with six goals, followed by Mackenzie Schoustra with five goals. Julie Johnson has played 12 games in the net and has 50 saves and allows 1.07 goals per game.
 
Last Year
The Oles beat the Blazers 2-1 last season on Oct. 31 in St. Joseph. Sarah Behr scored the winning goal for St. Olaf in the 69th minute. The Blazers outshot the Oles 19-8 in total shots.
 
Who to Watch
Senior forward Taylor Hedin and sophomore Jane Koch have been a big part of CSB's offense so far this season. Hedin is second in the MIAC with 30 points, and second with 12 goals. Koch has eight goals and four assists on the season. Goalkeeper, Heather Kaluzniak is fifth in the MIAC with 76 saves in 16 starts in goal.
 
The Storyline
With just one game left in the regular season, CSB is looking to solidify itself as a MIAC Tournament contender. Saint Benedict is tied for fifth in the league and is looking to stay in the top six and earn a spot in the conference championships while facing a St. Olaf team that is ninth in the MIAC. Hedin and Koch have been a powerful one-two punch for CSB on offense, and the duo looks to add to their scoring totals this season. A win guarantees CSB a spot in the conference tournament, and a win and a Gustavus loss could put Saint Benedict as high as fourth in the postseason tournament.
