ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict basketball team wraps up the 2015 portion of its schedule Tuesday, Dec. 29, when it travels to Morris, Minn., to take on Minnesota-Morris. Game-time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
About the Cougars
Morris is 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the UMAC heading into Tuesday's nonconference game. Elli Stevenson leads the Cougars at 13 points per game, and Kayla Kraemer (9.9), Kendra Raths (9.7) and Tori Holt (9.4) also average at least nine points per game. Raths also averages 7.3 rebounds per game and Holt is second on the team with 6.3 rebounds per game.
 
Last Meeting
Saint Benedict started the 2014-15 season with a 50-43 win over Morris on Nov. 15, 2014 in St. Joseph, Minn. The Blazers led by one at halftime and were able to extend their lead in the second half. Niki Fokken finished with six points and a team-high 11 rebounds for CSB, which forced Morris into 19 turnovers.
 
The Storyline
Both Morris and the Blazers are looking to end 2015 with a win and pick up some momentum heading into 2016 and the conference portion of each of their respective schedules. After a 5-1 start to the season, CSB is 1-2 in its last three games and the Blazers are looking for some consistency heading into the new year.
 
About the Blazers
CSB heads into Tuesday's game coming off a two-week break. The last time the Blazers played, they lost 62-55 to Bethel on Dec. 12 in Arden Hills. Niki Fokken led the team with 16 points and Chelsey Guetter had 10 rebounds.
 
Fokken leads the team in scoring (9.9) and Annie Dittberner (9.7), Grace Wolhowe (8.4) and Alison Newton (7.7) all average at least seven points per game. Guetter leads the team in rebounds (7.3) and Fokken is second with 6.7 rebounds per game.
