Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Saint Benedict tennis team earned its coach a milestone tonight (Mar. 22), with a 9-0 win over Bemidji State. The victory marked the 100^th in the head coach Scott Larsen's career, a career that has been spent entirely at CSB.

In his eighth season leading the Blazers, Larsen has posted a winning record in every season, and has won at least 10 mataches each year as well. The win over Bemidji State improved the Blazers to 8-6 this season, with 10 matches left to go.

His career record now stands at 100-60, for a winning percentage of .625.
 
The Blazers won all six singles matches in straight sets, including a hard fought battle at the top where the Daley Rupar (Merrill, Wis.) came out on top 6-3, 7-5.
 
The rest were not nearly as close, as the Blazers cruised to the win, including a 6-0, 6-0 win from Ellie Black (Litchfield, Minn.) at No. 4. Three other sets were won 6-0 in the night, as the Blazers posted one of their most dominating wins of the season.
 
Beth Richmond at No. 5 and Megan Hintz at No. 6 were in that group, with each winning 6-1, 6-0 to do their part to lock up coach's landmark win.
 
The team victory helped even up the Blazers as a team on the day, offsetting an 8-1 loss earlier in the day to a very strong Augustana team.
 
The Blazers will now look forward to returning home on Mar. 28, when they host South Dakota State in a 3 p.m. match at Fitness Evolution in Sartell, Minn.
