Lookin' for No. 1: After being swept by St. Olaf last weekend, the Saint Benedict hockey team faces off against Saint Mary's Nov. 22 and 23, looking for its first win of the season. With a record of 0-3, the Blazers will be fighting hard to use their home ice advantage to start building up momentum as they play the first of five consecutive home games. The Blazers will kick off this matchup at 7:30 p.m. at the MAC. Game two will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

About the Cardinals: The Cardinals are also heading into this game with an 0-3 record after being swept by St. Thomas last weekend, and an 8-2 loss to the No. 4 Gusties in the opener. The Cardinals have yet to play at home this season and will be facing the Blazers on the road this weekend. The Cardinals will then face St. Scholastica for their first home game the following week.

Last Matchup: The last time these two teams faced each other was towards the end of last season, where the two teams each walked away with a win. In the first game, the Blazers suffered a 4-0 loss on the road. Alli O'Brien led the team offensively with five shots as the team finished the night with 21 shots. The Cardinals took 24 shots in this game and walked away with a big win. In the second game, the Blazers fought hard for a big win on the road and finished with a 2-0 victory. Alyssa Hoffman scored the first goal of the night with Megan Lawry and Alex Carlson adding the assists. She then went on to get an assist in the second goal, which came from Allyson Nielson.

The Storyline: Both of these teams head into this matchup without a win this far into the season. They will both be looking to start winning before getting too far into the season and will try to take advantage of their winless opponent. With both teams grabbing a win in their matchups last year, they will each be looking to prove their dominance this year as the teams continue to stay pretty evenly matched.

Who to Watch: Stephanie Kirk leads the team with four goals, which is over half of the team's total this season. Elli Marvin, Siri Berg-Moberg and Megan Lawry hold the rest with one goal each this season. Marvin also leads the team in assists with three, which is also half of the team's total assists.

Last Time Out: In their last time out, the Blazers suffered a tough 6-2 loss to St. Olaf for their third loss of the season. Siri Berg-Moberg started the night out with a quick unassisted goal to give the Blazers a 1-0 lead. From here, the Oles took four consecutive goals to take a 4-1 lead before Megan Lawry got the team's second goal of the night with an assist from Alli O'Brien and Liz Hermes. The Oles then scored two more goals in the third period to finish the night with a 6-2 win.
