The College of Saint Benedict Blazer tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over Saint Mary's for their fifth win in a row Sunday afternoon in St. Joseph, Minn.

CSB jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead with convincing doubles victories at Nos. 1 and 3.  Juniors Lauren Jones and Sarah Rossman defeated Grace Zachman and Emily Dewitt 8-1 at No. 1 and junior Megan Seipel and first-year Jamie Hoffman won over Sarah Kennedy and Rachel Luefmen 8-3 at No. 1.  The No. 2 team of senior Kylie Huether and junior Aly Brandel earned an 8-3 victory against Abby Voigt and Andrea Allis.

After Hoffman picked up a win at No. 3 singles, sophomore Ashley Forstrom won her first MIAC singles match in her career 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 to clinch the contest for the Blazers.  Huether, Brandell, Seipel and junior MacKenzie Rayman won the other singles matches for CSB.

The Blazers travel to St. Paul, Minn. to face Hamline Tues., April 19 at 4 pm.
