RESULTS
The College of Saint Benedict Blazer track and field team cruised past Saint Catherine University this afternoon. The Blazers placed first in 16 out of 17 events to defeat the Wildcats 124-37.
Senior
Abby Neigebauer (Waseca, MN, Waseca) and junior
Julia Renner (Shoreview, MN, Mounds View) gave strong performances by taking first in two events each. Neigerbauer ran the 55 meter in 7.46 seconds to take first, and then took first in the 200 meter with a time of 26.91 seconds. Renner placed first in the long jump and triple with disances of 17 feet 7.5 inches and 35 feet 1 inch.
Senior
Jillian Daleiden (Blaine, MN, Blaine) took first in the 400 meter with a time of 59.79. The Wildcat's sophomore Erin Coughlin placed first in the 600 meter with a time of 1:45.29 to edge out senior
Caitlin Schnettler (Richmond, MN, ROCORI) by 0.06 of a second. Sophomore
Anna Williams (Apple Valley, MN, Eastview) took first in the 800 meter with a time of 2:23.44 and first-year
Lindsey Wales (St. Paul Park, MN, St. Croix Lutheran) took first in the 1000 meter with a time of 3:08.63.
First-years
Laurel Kennedy (Fridley, MN) and
Allyson Holtz (Chaska, MN, Chaska) tied for first in the high jump, both reaching a height of 4 feet 6.25 inches. Sophomore
Danielle Busch (New Prague, MN, New Prague) placed first with a height of 11 feet 8.5 inches in the pole vault. While first-year
Danelle Duppong (Lake Elmo, MN, St. Croix Lutheran) placed first in the shot put with a distance of 33 feet 8.75 inches and senior
Maria Gans (Rice, MN, Sauk Rapids-Rice) placed first in the weight throw with a distance of 38 feet 7.75 inches.
First-year
Mo Flynn (Burnsville, MN, Burnsville Senior High) placed first in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.68 seconds. Senior
Molly Noel (Eagan, MN, Cretin-Derham Hall) ran a 5:27.89 mile to take first in that event while sophomore
Lindsey Gideon (Park City, UT, Park City) ran the 3000 meter in 12:19.22 to place first. The Blazers also placed first in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a time of 4:07.82 and in the 4 x 200 meter relay with a time of 1:48.3.
