The College of Saint Benedict nordic ski team scored 36 total points to earn a sixth place finish in a 5K classic race in Houghton, Michigan.  The Blazers were led by sophomore Megan Smith's (Lakeville, MN, Lakeville North) 15th place finish that earned the Blazers 17 points.  Smith finished with a time of 19:09.2.  Northern Michigan University took first place in the seven team event with 71 points.

Sophomore Caitlin Goodman (Eugene, OR, South Eugene) and senior Stephani Seymour (Plymouth, MN, Wayzata) also contributed to the CSB score.  Goodman and Seymour finished back-to-back in 33rd and 34th place respectively.  Both skiers finished with a time of 20:46.5

The Blazers race again tomorrow, January 30, in Houghton, MI.
