Results

The College of Saint Benedict Blazer tennis team (0-2 overall, 0-0 MIAC) started regular season play last weekend.  The Blazers played both the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (1-2 overall, 0-1 WIAC) and Luther College (4-2 overall, 1-0 IIAC) at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The Blazers fell to the University of Wisconin-Eau Claire BluGolds 2-7.  The Blazers wins came from junior Megan Seipel (New London, MN, New London-Spicer)at singles and Jamie Hoffman, also at singles.  Seipel won 7-5, 4-6, 10-4. Hoffman won her match 6-0, 6-1.

Saint Benedict's match against Luther College produced the same result with the Blazers falling to the Norse 2-7.  Getting the win at doubles for the Blazers was juniors Megan Seipel and MacKenzie Rayman (Burnsville, MN, Apple Valley).  They won their match 9-7.  Also winning her match for the Blazers was junior Sarah Rossman (Rochester, MN, Lourdes) at singles.  She beat her opponent 6-0, 6-2.

On Saturday September 18th, the Blazers host the Alumnae match at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph, MN.
