The College of Saint Benedict volleyball team (12-4 overall, 2-0 MIAC) defeated the University of Wisconsin-Superior tongith 3-0 in Superior, Wis., and lengthened their winning streak to seven matches.
The Blazers controlled the pace of the entire match, upending the Yellowjackets 25-15, 25-13, and 25-12. WIth an overall team hitting percentage of .363, they owned the court all night.
CSB was led by junior middle hitter
Calleigh Brown (Buffalo, MN, Buffalo), who had 13 kills, zero errors, and a .561 hitting percentage for the night. Senior outside hitter
Emma Jaynes (Hibbing, MN, Hibbing) also added ten kills and ten digs. Senior setter
Beth Hanson (Faribault, MN, Bethlehem Academy) contributed 37 set assists and 13 digs for CSB.
The Blazers host their first home MIAC match against Augsburg on Wed., Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.
