Last year the Blazers suffered a 7 to 2 loss to UST, but this year the tables have been turned. The College of Saint Benedict tennis team dominated the court tonight with an 8 to 1 victory to rival Saint Thomas. 

The Blazers started strong by capturing all the doubles matches. Junior Rachel Tiegs (Rochester, MN, Lourdes) and first-year Sarah Rossman (Rochester, MN, Lourdes) dominated the court with an 8-4 victory. CSB rallied in the next two doubles matches to pick up the other two victories. The Blazers took over in the singles with their groundstrokes, energy and fight to win five of the six matches. Tiegs won 6-2, 6-3.  Sophomore captain Kylie Huether (Sioux Falls, SD , Washington) had a 6-4, 6-3 victory. Junior Katie Rudnitski (Gilman, MN, Foley) won 6-2, 6-4. Sophomore Elissa Husby (Duluth, MN, Marshall)dominated with a 6-3, 6-3 victory. First-year Megan Seipel (New London, MN, New London-Spicer) won 6-2, 7-5. 

The Blazers return to the court in Saint Joseph on April 14th to challenge Saint Cloud State University at 4:30 pm.
