Erin Sand collects her second straight Blazer Athlete of the Week honor, after leading the team in points scored at the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Sand took third in the 60-meter dash, with a career best time of 7.96, breaking the eight-second barrier for the first time in her career. Sand entered the meet seeded fifth in the event with a season best of 8:07, before dropping a full tenth at the championships. She would later run to a fourth place finish in the 200-meter, again logging a personal record along the way. Sand finished with an all-time indoor best of 26.44, again moving up from her seed after entering sixth with a 26.81.

In the relays she anchored both the 4x200 and 4x400-meter relays to fifth place times, closing out the meet with a team best 19 points, leading the Blazers to a third place finish.
