2012: Featured on Feb. 1 in the MIAC Student Athlete Spotlight, Sand has gotten first in the 4x400 meter relay team, first place in the 200 meter three times, first and third place in the 100 meter, second in the 400, and 1st in the 4x100 meter relay team three separate times. At the MIAC Indoor Championship, her team took 5th place. Sand was MIAC Academic All-Conference for the outdoor track and field season, as well as Athlete of the Week during the week of May 1.
High School: A 2009 graduate of New Prague High School, Sand participated in volleyball (two years), basketball (two years), and track (four years). In track, Sand was All-Conference, All-Conference Honorable Mention, All-Academic, and MVP.
Personal: Daughter of Marla and Joe Sand, she resides in New Prague, Minn. She enjoys being active and outside. She is majoring in nutrition/pre-pt.
