Stephanie Bierman set a pair of new Saint Benedict records, while helping the Blazer swimming and diving team to a fourth place finish at the 2013 MIAC Championships.
In the first session of the meet, she swam to a 23.71 in the 50-yard freestyle, breaking the year-old record, while also posting a NCAA B-Cut in the process. Her time now puts her in contention for a spot at the NCAA Championships next month.
Then, on the final day, she broke the 100-yard freestyle record in the prelims, before breaking it again in the finals. Her 52.11 in the finals placed her third on the event, and drops a half-second of the previous mark. On the weekend she finished third in both the 100 and 200-free, and fourth in the 50-free, while also swimming on four top-five relays.
