Samantha Solheid-Season-Career Results
2024: INDOOR: Competed in six meets, recording four top-eight finishes … competed in the MIAC Indoor Championships in the long jump with a mark of 4.78m (15’8.25”) ... took 7
th place in the long jump with a mark of 4.70m (15’5.25”) at the Cobber Indoor Open … finished the long jump in 3
rd place with a mark of 4.39m (14’5”) at the CSB/SJU Alumni Meet … took 7
th place in the long jump at the CSB/SJU Invitational with a mark of 4.82m (15’10”) … set a career-best in the long jump at the St. Olaf Tostrud Classic with a mark of 4.84m (15’10.75”) (6
th place).
High School: A 2023 graduate of New Prague High School, Solheid participated in gymnastics for fifteen years and track and field for three years. Her accomplishments in gymnastics include, earning All-Conference, All-State Honorable Mention, and All Section during all four years of high school, achieving All-State honors during her junior and senior years of high school, being named Captain during her senior year, and receiving the Academic Gold Award during all four years of high school. Her accomplishments in track and field include earning All-Conference twice, being named Captain during her senior year, and receiving the Academic Gold Award three times. Her proudest moment of her track and field career was when she won conference the first year that she joined track and field because it was when she started to fall in love with the sport.
Personal: The daughter of Kris and Dan Solheid, Samantha has six siblings: Alexis, Kaylynn, Danielle, Brenna, Brooke, and Nora. In her free time, she likes to be outside, be with family and friends, and stay active. Samantha is a Finance major at CSB/SJU. She likes being a collegiate student-athlete because it gives her time to practice and do the sport that she loves and forget about the other stresses in her life.
