High School: A 2010 graduate of Totino-Grace High School, Hanton was coached by Belinda LeClair. Hanton participated in swimming (four years) and lacrosse (three years) during her athletic career at Totino-Grace. She lettered in swimming all four years and was a four- time All-Conference honorable mention. Hanton qualified for the state tournament in 2007 and was named team captain in 2009.
Personal: Hanton is the daughter of Carrie Hefte and James Hanton of Arden Hills, Minn. She enjoys swimming, shopping, and traveling. Her major is undecided.
