Jon Hazen returns for his 11th season with the CSB swimming and diving team in 2020-21.

Hazen works with the CSB divers, while also working with the divers at Saint John’s.
In 2019-20, first year Emily Quill became CSB's first swimmer or diver to qualify for the NCAA Championships since 2020 after finishing in the top 10 on both the one- and three-meter boards at the NCAA Central Zone meet. She was unable to compete after the championships were canceled due to the COVID19 pandemic.
Hazen was named MIAC Diving Coach of the Year for the second time in 2019-20 after leading three CSB divers to top-eight finishes on the one-meter board and two on the three-meter board. Three in the top eight is the most for CSB since 2015. Quill earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention after finishing fourth on both boards, and senior Artie Pomerenke took fifth on the one-meter board.
Under Hazen's guidance, Quill set the school record in the one-meter (6-dive) and one-meter (11-dive) competition, and also recorded top-10 scores in CSB history in both three-meter competitions. First year Mia Sabin also recorded four top-10 marks in program history in her first season with the team.
In 2018-19, junior diver Mallory Jarvi became CSB's first swimmer or diver to compete in the postseason since 2002 when she made it to the NCAA Central Zone meet where she finished in the top 25 on both boards.
Jarvi earned All-MIAC honors after taking second on the three-meter board as a junior, and she and Artie Pomerenke finished top-eight on the one-meter board. Jarvi recorded four scores in the top 10 in program history in 2018-19. In 2017, Pomerenke broke the school record on the one-meter board with a 423-.25, besting the previous record - which stood since 1985 by more than 20 points.
Hazen helped Carissa Gaffy-Sanford earn All-MIAC honors after taking third in the one-meter competition at the 2016 MIAC Championships. Hazen was named the 2015 MIAC Diving Coach of the Year after landing 11 athletes in the top eight. Three Johnnies finished in the top eight in both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions, and three CSB divers finished in the top eight in the 1-meter dive and two more in the 3-meter.
Senior diver Megan Lawson recorded the second-best 1-meter (11) dive score in school history and earned All-MIAC honors after taking third under Hazen's watch in 2014-15. She also qualified for the NCAA zone sectionals. Lawson also earned All-MIAC in the 1-meter dive thanks to a third-place finish in 2013-14.
