1999 Season Review

The Blazers cross-country team, coached by third year coach Robin Balder-Lanoue, began the season with a first-place finish at the River Falls Invitational. Saint Ben's then went on to finish in ninth place overall at the Catholic Championships at Notre Dame, finishing second among NCAA Division III schools. Following the Catholic Championships, the Blazers posted a second place finish at the Ele Hanson Invite at Carleton. Saint Ben's also came in first place at the CSB/SJU Invitational. The season concluded with a 11th place finish in the NCAA Central Regional Meet, among a field of 24 teams. Individually, senior Melissa Kremers finished in 38th place overall with a time of 19:48 while sophomore Nicole St Clair finished in 39th place overall with a time of 19:49. The Blazers posted a sixth-place finish in the MIAC, and will graduate six seniors this spring.
