College of Saint Benedict

High School: A 2007 graduate of Rochester Lourdes High School, Torchia was coached by Mike Kesler and participated in cross country (six years), track and field (four years) and nordic skiing (four years) during her athletic career at Lourdes. She is a four year letter winner in track and field and cross country, and a three year letter winner in nordic skiing. Torchia was named all-conference in both track and cross country and was a state tournament participant in cross country. She was named team captain in track, cross country and nordic skiing. Torchia was a part of the cross country team that placed 3rd at state in 2006.

Personal: Torchia is the daughter of Tish and Mike Torchia of Rochester, MN. Her sisters Kelsey and Sarah run cross country and track and field at CSB. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and anything that involves being outside. Torchia is majoring in nursing.

What is your proudest moment of your career? 
"Receiving the Athlete of the Year 2010 and Presidential Award 2011."
 
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? 
"Absolutely everything! It is a wonderful compliment to any college education, because it brings out the absolute best in a person. I love my teammates and coaches too."
