ATLANTA – A stellar year in the classroom placed College of Saint Benedict basketball team fourth in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top-25 Team Honor Roll, announced by the organization Tuesday, July 21. With a GPA of 3.842, CSB basketball team recorded the fourth-best GPA for the 2025-26 season, posting its best finish in the academic poll in program history.
Saint Benedict led the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) with the fourth-place mark, and was one of three conference institutions within the top 25. St. Catherine University came in tied for fifth, while Gustavus Adolphus College ranked 15th. Additionally, Concordia College and Macalester College were listed in the special mention section.
CSB finished with an overall record of 16-9 for the 2025-26 campaign. The Bennies finished tied for sixth in the MIAC after posting an 11-7 record in league play. Saint Benedict reeled in 12 Academic All-MIAC honors, three College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District accolades, and four All-MIAC awards.
"The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women's basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom," said WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew. "The 119 ranked teams we honor this year across all five collegiate membership divisions strive to achieve all-around success and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"
