ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict athletic department celebrated the accomplishments of the 2025-26 athletic year in May with its annual student-athlete celebration. Twelve Bennies were announced as finalists for the annual CSB Rookie of the Year award, presented to the top newcomer of the season in each sport.
First-year
Ellie Huber (Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman) was selected as the finalist for CSB tennis.
Huber played her whole season at No. 1 singles and doubles for the Bennies. She won her first singles match and first MIAC match against Hamline at No. 1, coming from a 0-6 deficit in set one to win 6-3 and 10-4 in the tiebreaker.

Marie Labenski (Northfield, Minn.) won five matches at No. 1 doubles, including their first as a duo vs. Hamline on Feb. 28, 6-3. They also defeated Concordia 6-4, Northwestern 7-6, Saint Mary's 6-3 and Macalester 6-2.
CSB tied for seventh in the MIAC with a 4-6 record (6-9 overall).
