ST. JOSEPH, Minn. — First-year standout
Rayna Malmberg (Stillwater, Minn.), who tied her season high with five points on two goals and three assists in a 12–10 loss to UW–Eau Claire on Wednesday, has been named The House / St. Cloud Orthopedics CSB Athlete of the Week.

Malmberg earned her first CSB Athlete of the Week honor after opening the scoring with an unassisted goal at 10:17 of the first period, helping the Bennies pull even at 2–2. She added her second goal early in the third period (1:27), cutting the deficit to 11–7. She also recorded assists on goals by
Emma Theisen (Rosemount, Minn.),
Sami Hackley (Plymouth, Minn.) and
Tess Cavanaugh (Edina, Minn.). Against the Blugolds, Malmberg finished with one ground ball and five shots on goal (eight total shots).
She also recorded five points in a 21–2 win over Edgewood earlier this season and now has four multi-goal games, totaling 18 points (nine goals, nine assists), which ranks third on the team.
Malmberg and the Bennies return to action Wednesday, April 8, when they host Augsburg at 6 p.m.
