HASTINGS, Minn. – Senior Catherine Jance (Hopkins, Minn.) and sophomore Kenna Henriksen (Olivia, Minn.) each posted top-10 finishes to lead the College of Saint Benedict golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Gusties Spring Invite at Emerald Greens.
The Bennies carded a two-day total of 655 (330-325), improving by five strokes from the opening round. UW-La Crosse claimed the team title at 636 (322-314), followed by Gustavus Adolphus at 640 (325-315) and UW-Eau Claire at 641 (324-317). Gustavus' Addy Longle earned medalist honors with a 151 (76-75).
Henriksen turned in a career-best 159 (79-80) to finish tied for eighth, recording two birdies and 18 pars. Jance matched that total with a 159 (82-77), also tallying two birdies and 18 pars.
Sophia Anderson (Albany, Minn.) finished 21st with a 168 (83-85), highlighted by a birdie and 13 pars. Maggie Roth (Rush City, Minn.) placed 24th at 169 (86-83), compiling 16 pars and two birdies. Isabella Anlauf (Maple Grove, Minn.) took 51st with a 179 (91-88), totaling 11 pars.
Competing as an individual, Avery Maus (Kimball, Minn.) placed 35th with a 171 (87-84) and recorded 10 pars.
Next for CSB will be the Bethel Spring Invite at Oneka Ridge Golf Course in White Bear Lake, Minn.
