Emma Theisen (Rosemount, Minn.) and sophomore
Lilly Fandel Thompson (St. Louis Park, Minn.), the College of Saint Benedict lacrosse team to a dominant 21–1 victory over the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) on Saturday at the CSB Athletics Turf Field.
Hackley continued her torrid start to the year, finishing with 10 shots, three ground balls and two caused turnovers at CSB moved to 2-0 on the season. After scoring seven goals in the season opener, she now has 12 goals, four assists and 16 points through two games. Her five-goal performance also pushed her career total to 143 goals.
The Bennies received production throughout the lineup. Sophomore
Ava Mosley (Stillwater, Minn.) added three goals and four assists while collecting six ground balls and firing 13 shots. Mosley's performance raised her career goal total to 58. First-year
Rayna Malmberg (Stillwater, Minn.) added two goals, while junior
Lizzie Schrubbe (Andover, Minn.)
contributed a team-high five assists and scored her third goal of the season. Schrubbe also led the team with nine ground balls and now has 77 assists in her career.
Additional goals came from
Kamryn Peterson (Lindstrom, Minn.) and
Kyra Stofer (Cottage Grove, Minn.), who netted the first goal of her collegiate career. First-year
Annabella Brisk (Oceanside, Calif.) paced the Bennies with six draw controls, while Stofer added four.

Ashley Fischer (Madison Lake, Minn.) nearly recorded a shutout, allowing just one goal while making six saves.
Saint Benedict controlled the game from the opening whistle. The Bennies built a 4-0 lead after the first quarter and extended the advantage to 8-0 by halftime. The offense continued to roll in the second half, scoring seven goals in the third quarter and six more in the fourth to secure the 21-1 victory. During one stretch in the third period, the Bennies scored five goals in just over four minutes, including two by Hackley. CSB added three more goals in the first seven minutes of the final quarter.
Through two games this season, the Bennies hold a commanding 42-3 scoring advantage over their opponents.
Statistically, Saint Benedict dominated across the board. The Bennies outshot MSOE, 58-9, including a 32-5 margin in the first half. CSB also held a 35-8 advantage in ground balls, controlled the draw, 20-5, and converted all 12 of its clear attempts, while MSOE was just 3-of-9.
Saint Benedict now heads on the road for its next two games, traveling to Carroll on March 21 and No. 18 Chicago on March 22.
