NORTHFIELD, Minn. – With four titles and 10 top-three finishes, the College of Saint Benedict track and field team turned in another strong showing Friday night at the Tostrud Classic. The meet served as the final tune-up before the MIAC Championships, set for Feb. 26-28 in Northfield, Minn.
Senior
Jaylyn Ahlberg (Shoreview, Minn.) captured the pole vault with a season-best 3.45m – 11-03.75. Sophomore
McKenna Flinn (Redwood Valley, Minn.) placed third at 3.30m – 10-10.00, while
Lili Raidt (Waconia, Minn.) finished fourth with a season-best 3.30m – 10-10.00.
Senior
Lauren Berg (Bemidji, Minn.) won the 600 meters in 1:40.57, leading three Bennies in the top six. Sophomore
Mariah Brooks (Rochester, Minn.) took fifth in a personal-best 1:47.03, and first-year
Lydia Knight (Sartell, Minn.) was sixth in 1:48.40.
Junior
Sabriya Farquharson (Nassau, Bahamas) claimed the triple jump title with a mark of 11.24m – 36-10.50 and added a second-place finish in the long jump at 5.35m – 17-07.00.
Juslene Chea (St. Michael, Minn.) delivered a standout performance in the 60-meter hurdles. After setting a school record of 9.07 in the prelims, she bettered that mark with a 9.06 in the finals to place second. Her prelim time bettered the 9.11 she set earlier this season and now ranks 47
th in DIII. Chea also placed second in the triple jump at 10.92m – 35-10.00.
Sophomore
Anna Gries (Minneapolis, Minn.) earned third in the triple jump with a season-best 10.66m – 34-11.75, while
Hannah Scharnberg (Fergus Falls, Minn.) took sixth at 10.18m – 33-04.75.
The Bennies dominated the high jump, sweeping the top three spots. Junior
Drea Terwedo (LeSueur, Minn.) won at 1.58m – 5-02.25, followed by first-year
Reese Laposky (Pequot Lakes, Minn.) in second at 1.55m – 5-01.00 and sophomore

Mary Kenney (Saint Paul, Minn.) recorded a personal-best 5:21.67 to finish fourth in the mile, while first-year
