COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. -- The College of Saint Benedict, with six titles and 16 top-three finishes, captured the team title at the CSB/SJU Valentine's Day Open held at The Donald McNeely Spectrum on Saturday. CSB accumulated 212.5 points, followed by Concordia Moorhead with 165, and Southwest Minnesota State in third with 134.
Aside from the meet today, senior
Lauren Berg (Bemidji, Minn.) ran at the Minnesota State Open and clocked her career indoor best in the 800 meters of 2:17.32, finishing second at the Ted Nelson Classic in Mankato, Minn. Berg's time ranks third all-time indoors at CSB.
Among the titles at the CSB+SJU Valentine's Day Meet, junior
Sabriya Farquharson (Nassau, Bahamas) claimed the triple jump title with a season-best mark of 11.30m (37-01.00), ranking 27th in DIII. First-year
Hannah Scharnberg (Fergus Falls, Minn.) was second with 10.13m (33-03.00), while junior
Samantha Solheid (New Prague, Minn.) placed fifth with a season-best 9.85m (32-03.75).

Juslene Chea (St. Michael, Minn.) took her third win of the season in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.14. First-year
Taylor Dean (Hutchinson, Minn.) won the 600 meters in a personal-best 1:41.97, with first-year
Lydia Knight (Sartell, Minn.) finishing fifth in 1:48.14.
In the 3,000 meters, first-year
Daphne Grobstein (Golden Valley, Minn.) won with a time of 11:03.18, just ahead of junior
Julia Babineau (Andover, Minn.), who placed second in a season-best 11:04.78.

Mary Kenney (Saint Paul, Minn.) won the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:54.00, as CSB placed five runners in the top eight. Sophomore
Mollie Ping (Winona, Minn.) was third in 19:46.81, while first-year
Addisyn Giles (Belle Plaine, Minn.) took fourth in 19:48.84.
CSB dominated the 800 meters, securing six of the top eight spots. Senior
Natalie Zielsdorf (Arden Hills, Minn.) finished second in 2:33.14, with senior
Meaghan McDonald (Orono, Minn.) third in 2:35.22. Sophomore
Erin O'Connor (Chicago, Ill.) was fourth in 2:37.84, and sophomore
Mariah Brooks (Rochester, Minn.) took fifth in 2:40.09.
In the 3,000 meters, junior
Anabella Witschen (Monticello, Minn.) led three Bennies in the top seven with a personal-best time of 3:08.73, placing third. Junior
Taylor Radaich (Prior Lake, Minn.) was fourth in a season-best 3:08.74.
CSB had three athletes in the top six of the pole vault, led by sophomore
McKenna Flinn (Redwood Valley, Minn.) who finished third with a vault of 3.27m (10-08.75).
Jaylyn Ahlberg (Shoreview, Minn.) and
Lili Raidt (Waconia, Minn.) tied for fifth and sixth, both clearing the same height.
In the 60-meter sprint, junior
Bella Lund (Mound, Minn.) was the top finisher for CSB, placing sixth with a personal-best time of 7.998.
The 4x400-meter relay team, consisting of Berg,
Taylor Dean (Hutchinson, Minn.),
Tiffany Dean (Hutchinson, Minn.), and
Macy Piechowski (Winona, Minn.), finished fourth with a time of 4:21.48. The 4x200-meter relay team of
Allee Feldman (Buffalo, Minn.),
Grace Buntrock (Rochester, Minn.),
Myah Nelson (Brainerd, Minn.), and Lund took third in 1:52.05.
In the high jump, sophomore
Kiera Stommes (Eden Valley, Minn.) was CSB's top finisher, clearing 1.51m (4-11.50) for ninth place. Sophomore
Allison Banse (Mankato, Minn.) had CSB's best performance in the shot put, placing ninth with a mark of 10.88m (25-08.50). Banse also finished ninth in the weight throw with a distance of 12.86m (42-02.25).
Finally, in the 200 meters, CSB had three athletes in the top eight, including
Allee Feldman (Buffalo, Minn.), who finished sixth in a season-best 27.35. Piechowski also posted a personal-best in the 400 meters, placing fourth in 1:02.98.
