KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- For the 19th time in program history, the College of Saint Benedict soccer team has earned the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award, recognizing outstanding academic achievement during the 2024-25 academic year.

Under the leadership of head coach Steve Kimble, the 26-member CSB squad posted an impressive 3.68 team grade point average for the year.

Nationwide, 742 college soccer programs (303 men's and 439 women's teams) earned the Team Academic Award by achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

On the field during the 2024 season, the Bennies finished with a 5-8-3 overall record, including a 2-7-2 mark in MIAC competition.

Saint Benedict kicks off the 2025 season with two road matchups in Virginia, beginning with a season opener against Virginia Wesleyan on August 29 at 4 p.m. in Virginia Beach. The Bennies return home for their first match in St. Joseph on Saturday, September 6, hosting Wartburg College at 3:30 p.m. MIAC play begins on Wednesday, September 17, when CSB hosts St. Scholastica at 3 p.m. For the full schedule, click here.
