ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – First-year
Ava Mosley of the College of Saint Benedict lacrosse team, who scored seven total points, including six in the Bennies' first WIAC win, has been named the St. Cloud Orthopedics / CSB Athlete of the Week.
Mosley, a double major in global business leadership and economics from Stillwater, Minn. (Stillwater Area), continued her strong start to the 2025 season in which CSB has a 3-5 record, including 1-2 in the WIAC.
In a come-from-behind 12-11 win over UW-LaCrosse on Saturday, April 5, Mosley led CSB with four goals and two assists, tallying six points in the game. This marked her third game with multi-goals, and she now ranks second on the team with 14 goals. She scored the game-tying goal with 3:17 left and then assisted on the game-winner with 2:23 to play as the Bennies registered its first-ever win in the WIAC.
On Sunday, April 6, she also had a goal against DII Northern Michigan.
In eight games this season, Mosley ranks second on CSB with 15 goals and with six assists is second in scoring with 21 points. On 31 shots, she has the 15 goals for a .484 shooting percentage. Mosley has 26 shots on goal, nine ground balls and has caused five turnovers.
Mosley and her CSB teammates will travel to face Augsburg in WIAC play on Wednesday, April 9 at 4:30 p.m., in Minneapolis.
