ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict hockey team (0-1, 0-0 MIAC) is set to open conference play with a home-and-home series against St. Scholastica (2-1, 0-0 MIAC) on Nov. 14-15.

The Bennies will host the Saints at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, at Ritsche Arena in St. Cloud before heading north for a 4 p.m. matchup on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Mars Lakeview Arena in Duluth.

Saint Benedict enters the weekend looking to rebound after a tough nonconference loss to top-ranked UW-River Falls. The Bennies finished the 2023-24 season with a 12-10-3 overall record and went 9-8-1 in MIAC play.

After cutting the Falcons' early 2-0 lead to one, CSB surrendered two late first-period goals and trailed 4-1 after one. River Falls added three more goals in the second period to seal the win. Freshman goaltender Sam Knutson made 19 saves in her collegiate debut. The Bennies were outshot 26-7 overall but held a 9-6 advantage in the second period.
