ST. JOSEPH, Minn. –
Catherine Jance of the College of Saint Benedict golf team has been named The House / St. Cloud Orthopedics CSB Athlete of the Week following a standout performance at the MIAC Golf Championships, where she led the Bennies to a fourth-place team finish and earned a spot on the All-Championship Team.

Jance recorded a career-best ninth-place individual finish at the MIAC Championships, shooting a three-round total of 235 (79-76-80), her best tournament score to date. Her performance included 28 pars and five birdies, and she was one of just 10 players named to the All-Championship Team. She will also earn All-MIAC honors for the second consecutive year.
With Jance setting the pace, CSB posted a team score of 943 – the program's best three-round total since the 2017-18 season – and achieved its highest MIAC Championship finish since placing second in 2018.
This fall, Jance has been a model of consistency and excellence, recording five top-10 finishes, including four top-five showings. She holds a season scoring average of 76.4, ranking fifth in the MIAC. Over 11 rounds, she has tallied 840 total strokes, including a low round of 71 – tied for the second-best round in school history (
Emily Renner in 2022 and Grace Todora in 2011).
Jance also set a program record at the St. Kate's Invitational on Sept. 20-21, firing rounds of 72 and 71 for a two-round total of 143 and a second-place individual finish.
