MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Eight members of the College of Saint Benedict lacrosse team, including three repeat honorees, have been named to the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) All-Academic Team for the 2024 season.
The eight standouts from CSB were recognized for maintaining at least a 3.30 grade point average for the 2023-24 academic year.
Honorees included:
Izzy Bui, junior, Eagan, Minn.;
Grace Fitzgibbons, sophomore, Minneapolis, Minn.;
and Emma Osland, sophomore, Cottage Grove, Minn.; who earned their second straight honor. In addition,
Tess Cavanaugh, first-year from Edina, Minn.;
Gianna Demo, a first-year from Lakeville, Minn.;
Jenna Fodstad, a first-year from Rodgers, Minn.;
Sami Hackley, a sophomore from Plymouth, Minn.; and
Ava Nelson, a first-year from Moorhead, Minn.
This group led the Bennies to an 9-5 record in the program's second season with a perfect 5-0 record in MWLC play to win the league's regular season title for a second straight year. CSB finished unbeaten in MLC play for a second straight year.
