CSB Tennis falls to DI North Carolina A&T State, 5-2, to open spring break trip

ORLANDO, Fla. – The College of Saint Benedict (1-2) dropped a 5-2 decision to NCAA DI North Carolina A&T State (3-0) to open the Bennies' spring break schedule. The Bennies were also scheduled to face Allegheny College on Monday night (March 4). After the matches on Monday, CSB is set to face Cedarville University on March 6 in Kissimmee, Fla.

In singles play, the Aggies had four wins and was forced to withdraw in the other two matches due to roster limitations. In singles At No. 1 singles, Isabela Romanichen recorded a 6-1, 7-5 win over Ashley Tarrolly, who fell to 2-1 on the season. Nour Gueblaoui registered a 6-0, 6-2 victory against Peyton Kopel at No. 2 singles as Kopel is now 1-2. CSB's Greta Nesbit (1-2) lost a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Tabeth Tadoum at No. 3 singles. Then at No. 4 singles, senior Jane Bodensteiner of CSB fell to 1-2 on the season after a 6—0, 6-2 loss to Hana Elsherif.

In doubles play, the No. 1 team of Tarrolly/Jonas dropped a 6-0 decision to Elsherif/Romanichen, 6-0. At No. 2 doubles, CSB fell by a 6-2 decision to Gueblaoui/Tadoum. The Aggies had to withdraw to CSB at No. 3 doubles.
