ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – For the second time in the last three seasons, the College of Saint Benedict hockey team won at least 10 games in 2021-22, and competed in the MIAC Tournament for the second time in program history.
While the Bennies were busy making history and building the program on the ice, they were also putting together an impressive year in the classroom.
This week, four members of the CSB hockey team earned Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholar honors. Sophomore
Isabelle Heim, juniors
Emily Lemker and
Annie Luzum and senior
Julia Pias were all honored for their work on the ice and in the classroom.
In order to be eligible for All-American Scholar honors, athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher in both semesters of the 2021-22 school year and appear in at least 40 percent of the team's games.
This marks the fourth straight honor for Pias, who graduated in May and also earned Academic All-MIAC honors all three years she was eligible. It is also the third honor for Lemker and the second for both Luzum and Heim.
CSB kicks off the 2022-23 season Oct. 28-29 with a home series against Wisconsin rival UW-Eau Claire.
