ST. PAUL, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict club volleyball team competed in its first tournament of the spring semester over the weekend when it headed to St. Paul for the St. Thomas Tournament.
CSB finished 2-2 in pool play before going 1-1 in bracket play to end the day. Saint Benedict lost its first two matches of the day to tough teams, falling 2-0 (25-13, 25-21) to St. Thomas and 2-0 (25-20, 25-15) to Mankato, but bounced back to win its next two matches and earn the No. 3 seed.
CSB beat St. Cloud State 2-0 (25-15 and 25-11) and Minnesota-Duluth 2-0 (25-22, 25-22). In bracket play, Saint Benedict started with a 2-1 win over Bemidji State, but fell 2-0 to Mankato in the semifinals.

Emma Rodeghier had a great day at the service line with consistent serves in crucial moments.
The team will face the same five teams at this weekend's tournament in St. Olaf on Saturday, March 26, and then again on April 3 at the Mankato Tournament. CSB wraps up the year when it hosts the Men's and Women's Northern Club Volleyball Tournament April 9-10 in Claire Lynch.
