ST. JOSEPH, MINN. -- Sophomore
Jenna Timm of the College of Saint Benedict Hockey Team, who scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 nonconference win on the road at Concordia University - Wisconsin on Saturday, Nov. 5, has been named the CSB Athlete of the Week.
Timm, who was named to the All-MIAC First Team and All-MIAC All-Rookie Team a year ago, scored an unassisted power play goal at 12:17 of the second period to break a scoreless tie with Concordia University - Wisconsin.
With her game-winning goal, Timm helped deliver the first victory of the year as well as for CSB for Head Coach
Lindsay Macy.
Timm scored her sixth goal of her career and the first this season. She now has goals in back-to-back years against CUW. Interestingly, she recorded her first career goal against CUW on the same date a year ago (Nov. 5, 2021). In her career, she has made 59 shots on net, 22 blocks, scored 18 points with six goals. A year ago, she was second in the MIAC for defenders in assist and goals.
Timm and her CSB Hockey teammates will open MIAC play with a road and home series with Concordia College (Minn.) on Nov. Friday and Saturday, 11-12. On Friday, the Bennies travel to Moorhead, Minn., for a 7 pm road conference contest. Then, CSB returns to home to the Ritsche Arena to host Concordia College at 7 pm on Saturday.
