ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict volleyball team picked up a huge win in its last nonconference matchup against UWRF last weekend and are now looking forward to continuing with MIAC competition as they take on Bethel University at home on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

About the Royals
The 21st-ranked Royals are 12-3 overall so far this season, with their only losses to nationally ranked Northwestern and UW-Whitewater and also to UW-Stevens Point. Their last game was against Ripon College in the Stevens Point Tournament where they won in three straight sets. Kristen Cotter leads the offense in kills with 181 with help from Hannah Wilhite who has 556 assists. Kelsie Sealock leads the defense with 267 digs.
Last Meeting
The last time these two teams met was April 14, 2021, during the shortened season due to COVID-19 and the Royals took the 3-0 win over the Bennies.
Emma Guest had eight kills and 14 digs for CSB.
The Storyline
The Bennies made the most of their last nonconference matchup Saturday on the road against the River Falls Falcons, winning 3-1.
Gabby Heying had 12 kills for the Bennie offense and
Payton Marker helped her with 14 assists.
Mary Wenisch had 17 digs and Heying and a career-high 16 digs for CSB's defense.
Who to Watch
Heying leads the CSB offense with 144 kills and Marker still leads in assists with 194. Audrey Spolidoro trails just behind her with 161 assists. One the defensive side, Wenisch leads the team in digs with 165, with
Mackenzie McDonald behind her with 115.
Madelyn Gregory leads the team with 19 blocks.
