EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The College of Saint Benedict soccer team couldn't find its footing on offense Saturday afternoon and fell 2-0 to UW-Eau Claire in a nonconference matchup in Eau Claire, Wis.
The Bennies put a single shot on net when
Abby Willenbring put a shot in the low center of the net in the seventh minute of the game, but that was the only shot on net for CSB the rest of the game. Saint Benedict (2-2) had three total shots.
After a scoreless first half, Eau Claire scored the eventual game-winner in the 53
rd minute and added a second goal in the 59
th minute to seal the win.

Paige Kahlmeyer made one save in the first half to keep the Blugolds out of the net and keep the game scoreless heading into halftime. First-year keeper
Annie Waters stopped two shots in the second half for the Bennies.
Saint Benedict returns home and starts MIAC play Wednesday, Sept. 15, when it hosts St. Kate's at 4:30 p.m.
