The Bennies look to re-capture that first-game energy in their home debut Sunday, Feb. 14, when they take their home ice for the first time in 2021 against St. Thomas.
Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the MAC in St. Cloud. Per MIAC policy, no fans are allowed, but live video and stats are available
here.
ABOUT THE TOMMIES
Sunday marks the season opener for St. Thomas, which had its first four games postponed due to COVID protocols. The Tommies, who finished 12-10-4 overall in 2019-20, return their top two points scorers in Maddy Fielder and Alyssa Wallace, and Eryn Cooley is also back after seeing the majority of the time in the net for UST's goalies last season.
LAST MEETING
Saint Benedict split with the Tommies last season, marking the team's first win over UST since 2016. After falling 2-1 in a tight game in St. Paul, CSB came out hot and won 3-2 at home thanks to a pair of goals from
Annika Brodt and the game-winner from
Mollie Wise.
Ally Frantzick had a big game in net, stopping 28 shots to hold on for the win.
