ST. PAUL, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict basketball team is on the road for its second to last game of 2021, heading to St. Paul to take on Macalester Saturday, Dec. 10, for a MIAC match up. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Leonard Center.

About the Scots
The Scots have begun the season 4-4 overall, 2-3 in conference play. The Scots most recent game was a 21-point win over St. Scholastica with a final score of 69-48. Solana Cushing scored 14 points and had seven rebounds and Emma LaFrenz had 11 rebounds in the win. Celine Sabbagh leads the Scots in scoring at 15.8 points per game and LaFrenz leads in rebounds with an average of 12.3 per game.
Last Meeting
The last time the Bennies and the Scots met on the court was Feb. 12, 2020, where CSB handed Macalester a 25-point margin loss, with a final score of 83-58 in favor of the Bennies.
Tori Szathmary had four rebounds and scored two points;

The Storyline
Saint Benedict suffered its first loss of the season against Hamline on Wednesday, putting them 6-1 overall, 3-1 in conference play heading into the final two games of 2021. The Bennies' final game of the year before the winter break will be at home against Carleton on Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. in Claire Lynch Hall.
Who to Watch
Carla Meyer scored her 100
th point of the season against Hamline, as she continues to lead the Bennies in scoring with 14.3 points per game, she is also averaging 5.9 rebounds per game. Meyer's points per game average puts her in sixth place in the MIAC standings. Szathmary leads the team with 8.3 rebounds per game.
