CSB hosts Oles in nonconference matchup

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict hockey team is 2-3 this season after splitting a pair of games with Concordia this past weekend. The Bennies look to rebound from a close loss Saturday as they host St. Olaf Tuesday, Nov. 26. Puck drops in Ritschie Arena at 7 p.m.
 
About the Oles
St. Olaf is 0-8 so far this season, and 0-4 in the conference. The team's MIAC losses come from St. Thomas and No. 9 Hamline. Johanna Glaaser and Annika Patterson both have two goals apiece for the Oles, who have scored just six goals in eight games so far in 2019-20. As a team, they average 16.1 shots per game.
 
Last Meeting
CSB beat the Oles twice and tied St. Olaf once last season, with both wins coming in Northfield. Saint Benedict won 2-1 and tied the Oles 1-1 in the MIAC series, and won 6-1 in a nonconference game. Courtney Conlin had two goals and an assist in the 6-1 win and Maggie Gilchrist had 17 saves.
 
Storyline
The College of Saint Benedict hockey team looks to bump its record to .500 overall after playing the Oles. After Tuesday's game, the Bennies have nearly two days off as they don't compete again until a Saturday-Sunday weekend date with St. Kate's. The team plays a rare Sunday game at home that Sunday, Dec.8.
 
Who to Watch
 Mollie Wise has three goals for the Bennies and one assist, and five skaters behind her each have a goal so far this season. In net both Ally Frantzick and Maggie Gilchrist have five goals against. Frantzick has 62 saves with a .925 save percentage and Gilchrist has a .942 save percentage with 81 saves.
